This is a large anterior tooth from the rare “false mako” shark, Parotodus benedeni. This tooth dates from the middle Miocene to Pliocene epochs, about 3 to 15 million years ago.

All of my fossils are personally collected from the Charleston, SC area and are completely natural, with no repair or restoration
