This is a large upper anterior tooth from Carcharocles angustidens, the evolutionary predecessor to the fearsome Megalodon shark. This tooth dates from the Oligocene to early Miocene periods, between 22 and 34 million years ago. Exceptionally sharp serrations on this example!
